Quickstart

This walks through the shortest path from a new account to the Assistant launcher appearing on your page. It uses the dashboard at app.bunkhouse.ai for every setting.

Create an account and sign in to the dashboard.

Open Sites and add a site for your application. List its allowed origins: the exact origins where the script tag runs, such as https://app.example.com. Use no wildcards, paths or trailing slashes, and list each origin (production, staging) separately.

Open Billing to subscribe and fund the account’s prepaid balance; assistant usage is charged against it. Then decide how sessions start:

  • Signed sessions (recommended) tie each session to a user your application has already signed in.
  • Anonymous sessions are off until you enable them for the site with monthly spending limits.

The installation guide compares the modes.

Open your site in the dashboard and go to its Install section. Choose a session mode and copy the generated snippet; it already contains your site’s public key. The loader portion looks like this:

<!-- Loader only; signed sessions also need the identity setup from the Install section. -->
<script src="https://embed.bunkhouse.ai/embed.js" data-public-key="pk_YOUR_SITE_PUBLIC_KEY"></script>

5. Place it before your app’s entry script

Section titled “5. Place it before your app’s entry script”

Add the snippet to your HTML before your application’s JavaScript entry, so discovery sees the requests your app makes at startup. If your page sends a Content Security Policy, add the sources listed in the installation guide.

Load your application from one of the allowed origins. An Assistant launcher appears on the page; open it to start a session. If it does not appear, check the browser console, that the page origin exactly matches an allowed origin, and your Content Security Policy.

  • Installation: connect your existing authentication.
  • Security: keys, private content and approvals.
